Front cover designs

Please comment on which cover design you like, and any improvements that I could make.

This design will have a fold out cover, there will be a photo that is the same model, but on the image several times.  I'm keeping this one simple because I want the image to draw people in.

Textual analysis - Double page spread

This is a double page spread from Q magazine.
This page carries on the sophisticated and basic styling of the front cover and contents page.  The page is also very well laid out, there is clear definition between the writing and the text.
The pages are glossy, and feel expensive, this is also reflected in the colour quality of the photos.
All of the design and production elements relate to the quality of the cover and the rest of the magazine.
